MCA Cooper Associates was formed in 2001 to provide advice to the Learning and Skills sector in a number of key areas. We specialise in advising clients on a range of financial management and general management issues. These involve such areas as recovery and merger planning and implementation strategies, due diligence reviews, contributions analyses, cost/benefit reviews, financial awareness and governor training, capital project applications, MIS support and data health checks and the supply of interim financial management and MIS support.
We have years of experience in business management in both the private sector and in FE colleges and our approach is management-based not audit-based. Our wide-ranging experience positions us to understand the problems faced by the Learning & Skills Sector but with knowledge of what can be achieved outside the sector. All our personnel are educated to at least first degree level and all who are customer-facing have front-line experience in provider organisations. We can offer complete flexibility in our service provision and can mould our support to suit the individual needs of our client.
We believe we truly can add value. It has often been said by our clients that we speak their language. Our experience in front-line positions in provider organisations gives us an insight into the needs of our college clients and our increasing involvement with the Learning and Skills Council also gives us an appreciation of their needs and requirements. Our approach is different from the traditional management consultancy in that we use our knowledge and experience of actually working in executive line management positions in the sector to work with you our client to solve problems. We do not adopt an externally driven, audit-based approach which we feel can often be out of step with what our clients need.
