“I am delighted we have managed such an impressive turnout for this important launch” commented Robert Leitch, MCA Associate Director who is leading the new service. Being able to hear the positive feedback from Carole and Claudia has been very useful for prospective clients of this new service to learn from our clients how well received and effective it is in a college environment.

“Since our recent editorial piece in FE News” reported Malcolm Cooper, MD of MCA “we have received many requests for more information about our process mapping service. Colleges are keen to see for themselves how it can be used not only to map processes but to achieve really positive improvements.”

“We are delighted to visit colleges and give them a more in-depth demonstration of what this powerful software, used to map the London Crossrail project, can do in an FE environment. Its power is truly awesome!”

Question: MCA

If my Staff Costs percentage is in line with sector benchmarks should I be content?

Answer:

Not necessarily. Within the overall figure could be some really high performing departments with low staff costs which are masking and subsidising some badly underperforming departments with very high staff costs. Identifying the high cost areas and making improvements is a way to provide a major boost to the College’s bottom line. What is needed to achieve this is a full contributions review by department.
