Chief Financial Officer

£90,000 – £105,000 (subject to experience)

The College is moving to the next stage in its development and is now looking to recruit an experienced finance professional reporting to the Principal & CEO. This will involve an exciting agenda for change with opportunities to contribute to moving the College forward.

Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a passionate, commercially-minded and driven Chief Financial Officer to help us rise to challenges, drive growth and maximise opportunities.

With the ability to develop a strategic financial vision for Barking & Dagenham College and translate this vision into practical financial and risk management, growth and sustainability, we are keen to recruit a credible, entrepreneurial and inspirational leader.

Reporting to and working closely with the Principal & CEO, and wider executive team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of a sound and positive organisational culture whilst also facilitating the successful delivery of planned results, both operationally and financially.

You will be an accomplished relationship-builder who will strengthen our relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and organisations and help us develop strong and new income streams.

If you are committed to transforming the lives of young and adult learners, this is your chance to make a difference.

It’s not just a great working environment and good salary you can expect when you come to work at Barking & Dagenham College. We also offer a generous annual leave allowance (plus two weeks off over the Christmas break), an exceptional pension package, life assurance scheme and company sick pay.

Candidates must hold a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA) and be able to demonstrate practical experience at a senior management level. The successful applicant will be expected to lead and take responsibility for all Finance, Procurement, IT, Information Systems, Estates and Security Teams and to contribute to the Senior Team’s leadership of the College.

Experience at executive level is essential and relevant experience in a further education college, whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage.  A copy of the Job Description, Person Specification and other relevant information for this post may be downloaded from MCA Cooper Associates’ Web Portal HAMSTER by accessing the following internet address:
