At the recent LSIS conference entitled “Leadership Skills for Governance” Malcolm Cooper and Neil Reed delivered an hour long paper to a selection of Governors, Clerks and Principals. The paper entitled “The role of governors and clerks during improvement/recovery planning” sought to give the audience detailed guidance on what the Governors should look for and be aware of when discussing improvement or recovery plans with senior college management.
LSIS are seeking to assist colleges through the current difficulties and believe, that as part of LSIS overall strategy, colleges need to be well informed about how they can get through the current difficult times. LSIS therefore recognised that as the leading organisation in developing improvement and recovery plans in the sector the MCA Coopers team were ideally placed to deliver the seminar on behalf of LSIS.
The feedback from LSIS has been very positive and at the end of the session a number delegates were keen to discuss the presentation in further detail.
